So what is an unmetered bandwidth server? At the beginning of the ethernet era, every server was metered because the internet was quite expensive. It is still expensive in certain countries but not so much as it was before, though. So the companies need to cover their expenses somehow and sell traffic in batches like 1TB, 5TB, and so on. How it was calculated?

Imagine that you’ve been offered 100 mbit/s bandwidth. How much traffic you can process using this channel? 1 Terabyte per month is approximately 3086419.7531 bits per second. A terabyte contains 8,000,000,000,000 bits (base unit). Using a full month of 30 days or 2592000 (SI base unit). 1 TB/mo ≈ 3086419.75308642 bit/s. Long story short it’s approximately 32.4 TB/month.

With an Unmetered Server, you are limited only by the port bandwidth. So if you have a 1Gbit port imagine how much traffic you can process, eh?

Why you should choose them?

Unlike shared hosting services, where many clients share the resources of a single server, in unmetered dedicated servers case, 100% of the server resources are exclusive for a single client. This means that in a dedicated server the client is assured the totality of the machine's resources, such as bandwidth, processor, ram memory, hard disk. Thus, the performance of your website will not be affected by the use of other clients hosted on the same server.

The dedicated server is leased by the client and configured according to their preferences, each dedicated server includes 1 IP address and absolute control over the use and installation of software through root access on Linux systems and Administrator access on Windows systems.

You will be able to use your dedicated server for a variety of purposes, including database management, high-traffic websites, or game servers. Dedicated servers are generally used by companies or individuals who have high-demand websites or applications that require high bandwidth that only a dedicated server can deliver.

Our dedicated servers are perfect for e-commerce platforms, streaming, and high-demand email services that require extra performance, security, and total control. You can choose the operating system that best suits your needs such as Windows or Linux with a wide range of processors and custom configurations.

The main reason to go with a cheap unmetered dedicated server is that you don’t need to worry about traffic consumption. You have a 1Gbit or 10Gbit port and you can use it however you want.

    No unexpected performance dips

Running a growing SaaS app, we used to chase random performance drops every week, jumping between logs, metrics, and alerts without clear answers. After switching to BlueServers, behavior became predictable and infrastructure stopped being a question mark.

Frequently asked questions
  • How many CPU does a server need? arrow faq

Typically, servers can support 2/4/8/16/28/32 CPU sockets. A 1-socket server can accommodate a single processor, and a 4-socket server can support 4 processors running simultaneously.

  • What operating systems can I install? arrow faq

You can choose from various Linux distributions, Windows Server editions, or install a custom OS depending on your project requirements.

  • What is the starting price for a dedicated server? arrow faq

The entry-level price starts at $79/month with monthly billing. If you choose a longer commitment, you can save more — plans begin at $67/month when paid for 6 months upfront, and from $66/month when selecting a yearly subscription.

  • What operating systems can I install? arrow faq

You can choose from more than 15 different Linux and Windows distributions for your projects. If you need a specific or custom OS image, we can usually handle that on request as well.

  • Is DDoS protection included? arrow faq

Yes. All dedicated servers include standard DDoS mitigation by default to help protect your services from common network-level attacks.

  • How do I rent a dedicated server from BlueServers? arrow faq

Log in to your BlueServers account, then open the Locations section and choose the region you want. Select a Package that fits your requirements for CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, and IP addresses (IPv4/IPv6). Click Order now, customize the configuration if needed, and proceed to checkout. Once the payment is completed, our team will immediately begin preparing your server for deployment.

  • How is performance different from a VPS? arrow faq

A dedicated server provides hardware-level isolation and exclusive access to all resources. This means performance remains stable even under high loads, unlike a VPS where resources may be shared.

  • What kind of support can I expect? arrow faq

Depending on the provider, support may include monitoring, hardware replacements, OS troubleshooting, security assistance, and optional server administration services.
